How to buy Safaricom IPO shares
Please follow these steps to apply for the Safaricom IPO
A: Online Application
- You must have opened a CDSC Account with Equity Bank
- Use your CDSC number and ID Number to login
- Login at Equity Bank's Share Solutions
- Print out the last page of the online application
- Fill in a funds transfer form
Send the above forms by EXPEDITED MAIL to the following address TO BE RECEIVED ON OR BEFORE 23RD APRIL 2008:

B. Application through form downloads
- Download from our website (Safaricom IPO application form) (Right click and save target as )and fill the Safaricom IPO application form You must have a CDSC Account with Equity Bank.
NB: The Safaricom IPO application form should be filled and dully signed by the applicant.
- Download a Funds transfer form Transfer money from your Equity Bank Account to cover for your Safaricom IPO purchase
- Make sure you have funds in your Equity account to cover the IPO purchase.
Please note there is no commission charged for the IPO, for example if you are buying 2000 shares at 5KES the funds transfer form amount should be 10,000KES plus 30KES charged for depositing the shares into your CDS account ( this charge is from CDSC).
The 30 KES should be put on the postage column; thus a grand total of 10,030 KES.
For US and UK residents please contact our AGENTS for document verification and forwarding to Equity bank.
The above forms should be received by the agents no later than APRIL 15th 2008.
